In 2007, Ben Shelton directed a short film called My Name is Lisa that won numerous awards and and gained over 3.7 million views on line. My Name is Lisa stars Carlie Nettles as a 13 year old girl, who is dealing with her mother's Alzheimer's disease. The film was written by Ben Shelton and his brother Josh Shelton, who also scored the film. My Name is Lisa is the only film to win Short Film of the Year in the YouTube Awards, and won second prize in Fox Searchlight's Project Direct competition, judged by Jason Reitman.
The Shelton Brothers also collaborated on award winning short films: Running, Love & Hamburgers and Shakespeare With Fries.
